so. im thinking of quitting graphic design.

SO THAT I CAN DO THIS!!! BEHOLD!!

er well no really.. but i do love systems and looking at how this works.. i should apply this kind of crazy meticulousness to my craft. this i find very mmm in a holy crap thats hot kind of way (very bad selection of sequential words, i know… im still running on a low tank and recovering from a week of 4am bed times and allnighters)

i should also take notes on how to present work in crits. this is how!

1- get a fantastic out of this world idea

2- present it with simple words.. speak slowly and organise thoughts logically

3- make everyone else think ‘wtf’ by making it seem as if your crazy complicated idea is as easy as ‘peeing your pants’ by doing 2 (quote taken from miss shin :D )

… mmm.. i love it when people talk technical.. drool…

…and one more for crazy fantabulousness and fun!

right. bed. now.

people hearing without listening.

i was reintroduced to possibly one of my favourite songs.  i do like the lyrics very much, a great piece of writing alone. if only lyrics today had a little less repetition im sure it sound a little like we’re getting more bang for our buck as they’d say.. maybe i should say more punch for the pound.

despite the content. i do enjoy listening to it on a bright sunny sunday afternoon like today.

[edit] i forgot to give you this lovely nugget of lovelyness that is missy higgins. i have been watching and singing this song in my head nonstop for the last 3 weeks. its lovely warm sound despite content. byebye bad days. (maybe im just on a happy roll..)

break.

mm

off for a wkend in brizzle.. have a nice weekend and to you workaholics, take a little time off. (you know who you are!!)

trying not to die. (although it doesn’t sound like it. im fairly content atm.)

hello. nothing much to say remarkably.. you know me.. quite waffly usually. not really up to much. doing a suprising amount of work. sorta. gradually im making changes to the way i work. and no technical malfunctions happened on the last deadline which was a huge sigh of relief. well.. it took me half an hour to print but i gave enough time to allow for that and for the first time i looked ’sane’ on a deadline. for those who don’t know, our context project sounds ‘fun’. we write our own brief and we do whatever the hell we like. so moi, im going to exploring cultural identity.. something to do with being BBC and it’ll also bring me a step closer to producing a piece of work on chris (a charecter tucked away, who is also a BBC)

last night i worked on a comission/favour for a friend.. the painting side of it was terrible.. but i think i made her into a pretty cool superhero. unfortunately i didnt take any pictures of the work so nothing to show.. i did however have lots of inks left over so heres me playing around a bit. im gradually getting back into the swing of thiings but it has been almost half a year since ive drawn or painted anything, so excuse the rustyness of the handywork.

okay i take back my initial comment, now im rambling. anyways, im trying really hard to stay on top of my work.. and my sleeping hours for that matter. was aiming to wake at 6 and work but seeing as how its 2 now, we can kiss that plan of action goodbye.. anyways. hopefully i can bring you all something nicer to look at soon. take care all.

this could well be the most useful bit of info on my blog so pay attention!

hellu.. well.. something in my house is beeping.. not something i need right now.. i suspect its the carbon monoxide sensor, but its not flashing the alarm light so im a bit .. hmmm about the whole thing. anywho.. id like to make you all aware of this if you don’t already know.

The danger signs

Carbon monoxide may be present if there are any of the following danger signs:

  • Gas flames that normally burn blue burn orange or yellow instead.
  • Sooty stains appear on or just above appliances, regardless of the fuel being burnt.
  • Coal or wood fires burn slowly or go out.
  • The fire is difficult to light.
  • The room is not properly ventilated.
  • The chimney or flue is blocked – watch out for smoke in the room.
  • You develop the following unexplained symptoms:
    • tiredness
    • drowsiness
    • headaches
    • dizziness
    • chest pains
    • nausea
its sort of dangerous because you could be suffocating/dying and not be aware of it.. not to rain on your parade or anything.
anyways essay to do.. food to eat. play safe now children.

alrighty..

well well.. after 6 weeks of panic.. its nice to take one week just to melt into a puddle drooling over the doctor. thats right i spent roughly a week just watching doctorwho and catching up on heroes as well as a few other on iplayer.. (btw.. sainsburies was voted second favourite out of the big supermarkets on watchdog. YAY sainsburies.. thankfully asda and tescos were out of the top three WHOOO!!)

im incredibly knackered.. tv binge = very .. very late nights.. ive been sleeping at 3.30. 4 am consistantly for a few days now.. and the work has started to pile up. HOWEVER!! all of you who doubt me.. i have been working. oh yes.. rather hard too.. well considering how self indulgence is a downhill spiral and all.. i’d say ive done rather well to leap out of it.. the downer… i’ve had a migrane for quite a few hours now as well as the constant feeling of throwing up. nice. just when i was getting into my work.. im also trying to install indesign.. seeing as how i need it.. well fingers crossed..  actually the only reason why im writing this now is to sob in your faces and pled for your positive thoughts so that this may install.. i dont want to make another post catagorized under ’supernatural technical malfunction’…
