Isn’t this one of the most beautiful doors you’ve seen. This is why I love walking around the side streets of London. I am also pretty fond of buildings (i’m sure you can tell from my pictures).

my tutor suggested that I should make my merry way to tottenham court road to check out home furnishing stores for my latest project. absolutely knackered. my parents came to visit so they tagged along. didn’t find much inspiration but thankfully we did find these delicious om noms!

.. and its still going.

despite not sleeping well, it was a joy to not be woken up by lorries and people on their phones on their way to work. i remember saying as a passing thought, imagine.. if everyone in london, instead of wearing black wore white.. what a sight that would be, well lovely to see that the grey is now white. snow snow snow.  what a better time to lie to yourself and start playing christmas choons. London and very much of england has been hit with the worst (best!) snow in 20 years. most of london transport is down.. ALL buses are down. Although there are people are complaining, its a great time for london to slow down. it feels like a public holiday, for once london doesn’t have this relentless pace, its great to see people out and about just taking it easy and throwing snowballs.

for all the years i have spent here in the UK (all 20 of them) I have always anticipated snow whenever it comes, hopeing that it falls by the truck load so that we’d be snowed in. the perfect excuse to stay at home. and finally after 20 years of waiting (although a bit late) i rejoiced at the msg on black board. UNI IS CLOSED!! whoohoo!! ive just returned home from sending the lovely jen home. unfortunately its a bit lonely and quiet here now, no one to share the snow with but its been a lovely few days, a break that i really really needed.

off to toast my feet, catch up on sleep, clean house for parents arrival, defrost very smelly fridge (don’t know whats been in there), wash dishes, do clothes, write essay..  oh my..

yesterday is a backdoor excuse

The last five were from saturday .. just a few things that caught my eye.. the greenwich station looks very different.. would fit in hong kong perfectly.. anyways.. three sequential late nights and very little sleep has left my brain completely fried… otherwise i would be on ramble mode.. more pictures tomorrow that will conclude this crazy weeekend!!
