lets sell you something.

alrighty poos. dan dan give me some nice advertising links so i thought i ought of share for those graphically inclined.

somewhat fresh and slightly interactive way of being sold something by DHL

advertisements for cars are getting better and better. actually they’ve always been rather good to begin with. honda in particular have rather memorable ones. i also like how sound is being explored more in advertising.. or is it.. more like its much more obvious. we all remember fords campaign with the disected car parts turned muscial impliments. well anyways people who actually have a television may have actually seen this one. i haven’t so im posting it here. on a final note on this, it seems the idea of selling something has become a lot more about creating something unbelievable scale wise and idea wise. im not sure if thats a good or a bad thing but i think the well will start running dry rather soon.

ahh yush .. anyone remember the nicole kidman channel ads not that long ago. very moulin rouge oui? well i only just found out they were directed by baz lurman so that explains rather a lot. although the lines and story was bad to say the least. sorry as much is i like nicole kidman (mucho) i found her less convincing than audrey tautou in the lastest channel no. 5 ads. ( i never realised was so lovely to look at untill i saw her sans amelie hair. also a rather fine actress in my opinion having seen this ad.) very convincing emotional performance.  anyways we all know that perfume ads are a load of fluff, almost pure ideallic fantasy throwing the perfume at as since technically they make no comprehensible sense to us mere mortals who have no understanding of notes and aldehydes other organic compounds, doughnuts and what nots . anyways enjoy.

if you have the band width to waste go to channels site to watch it HD fullscreen.

love the art direction and story telling. you’ll love it even more when you see the behind the seens clip

theres nothing quite like seeing passion as someone talks about their labour of love. anyways. BACK TO WOOORK!!! GARHH!!

countdown..

mum and dad came to visit for a little more than a week. unfortunately i didn’t really have time to go take them places, worrying about my work.. and now the flat is empty again.. :’( i miss my parents. And im a tiny bit pissed off with myself for spending so much time on this project. the deadline is tomorrow.. and i don’t feel like doing it anymore. my final idea is mediocre at best.. the final work doesn’t really represent the all the time and effort put in. well.. thats just the way things go sometimes. yes i’ll keep telling myself that.

i really like these animations, totally capture something that i want in my comics, that mundane everyday matter of fact occurances that noone realy takes the time to talk about.

progress is a slow and painful uphill crawl whilst pulling a rug on which a very large fat lady

Are you desperately trying to work, deadlines tomorrow with the ratio of time spent on work greatly outdone by time spent on the computer, then what you need is this, BEHOLD!!
