in case anyone was utterly desperately curious. this is the skeleton.. now ive got to beef it up to 5000 words.. covering the shaded areas i’ve managed to cough up 1656 words. and now im procrastinating because the panic has finally kicked in. this is a colossal task. alas im no colossal task controlling pig. OH! i almost forgot to mention.. that plan .. its on A2 size paper.. sigh…

refinement is a bitch. why can’t the essay be like its master:rather rough around the edges.
turns out my mind decided burn out all my concentration on yesterday.. and so im spending the whole of today procrastinating.. dissertation and dirty dishes.. and for my encore i shall compose a haiku about coffee..
Alrighty .. sorry folks been a bit lax with my internet comments and responses.. i will get back to people shortly.. meanwhile dissertation looms over. um.. yes. whilst i was looking for great sound track asian music to listen to whilst working i came across this…
ISSUES:
1- americans. don’t dub our films. Its just wrong. i think a little bit of me dies everytime i see jet li dubbed with an american accent in Once Upon a time in China. hmmm if i didn’t read subtitles off korean and japanese dramas.. i would do very little reading at all hmms..
2- why is Chow Yung Fat dubbed with an english accent? lets see.. he’s a mentor.. and the all knowing intelligent elder of the characters.. yes we’ll just shove him into the american stereotypes of older british man type clever. this reminds me of Giles from buffy.. im wondering if that started a certain something (all watchers .. ie clever knowledgeable folk came from England… hmms…)
[3- why is Zhang Ziyi dubbed with an american accent and sounding kinda vague and ah-em shallow? all the dubbing was put emotionally out of context. you would have heard the hate in her voice in the original.. rather than the.. why won't you let me have those shoes type tone.. (now who's stereotyping?)] okay.. i can sort of take this back.. i grit my teeth and watche the whole clip.. shes not so bad.. however very vague dubbing is used for many asian films.. glad that the lead female sounds somewhat actually involved with the story..
uggh rant.. anyways..’ questions? comments?’ (a quote from buffy i might add)
That reminds me i was walking by turnham green tube.. ice cream in hand and all and saw the new album for someone i can’t remember… album titled.. ROKSTARR (googling tells me it was taio cruz). i like english language abusal (read my blog and you’ll know) and making up my own words.. but seriously children just for the record .. illitracy is like so not cool. now if i could only practice what i preach..
alrighty so i linked this to my lego fanatic brother.. im a few days late apparently… he’s already facebooked it. darn. Anyways, this is one of the best lego animations i’ve seen.. not a minifig in sight and a great use of the original basic lego brick colours too.. brilliantly filmed and edited and great music too! better get a mop for that puddle of drool..
very much should be catching some snoozies right now but here i am still pumped from an adequately salty bowl of kimchi fried rice and swedish pear cidar flicking through my old pictures.. this is a huge panel from a market stall at goldhawk road market. makes for interesting texturage so into the scrapbook ya go!
my piggyself was lucky enough to be invited by shinface to waddle off to paris for a few hours on saturday courtesy of eurostar. Being last minute people we wiki-travel-planned our journey (okay don’t judge me) we had a plan of going to a few places in what we assumed was reasonable approximation to one another (south and a bit more south). so we rented bikes and did all the navigation all by ourselves (… somewhat unsuccessfully).. in our fourth hour we finally managed to find the catacombs (Les Catacombes de Paris) the first site on our trip which just so happened to be closed. so we proceeded to our next stop the Rodin museum.. which we decided to give up on and just cycle around instead.. and there was a lot more to see instead of eyes on map, road signs and roads and pedestrians. being safety concious tourists.. (trying not to run over anyone or be run over) we didn’t take that many pictures.. hands on handle bars, feet.. um balancing.. as one does.. here’s what i did manage to snapple up when we paused to glance at the map only to reestablish we had no idea where we were.

unfortunately we didnt munchie as much as we really should have.. this is the only bit of food porn i could bring you and this was on the eurostar homeward bound.. which btw.. has very nice food.. better than what youre going to get from a short flight. om noms… this was a apricot tart with thyme. also the carriages were very nice.. in terms of nice lighting yellow rather than harsh blue light.. (not that most people mind or notice) anywho if one does go to paris, i would highly recommend renting a bike, you really get to see the city from what i imagine is more of a locals perspective of the city.. the buildings are beautiful.. well i happen to like looking at buildings a lot.. as im sure you know by now. also i would like to say that french motorists are very forgiving a huge contrast from our narrow london streets and for the few people i nearly did run into .. as well as my poorly spoken franglais. thank you france, eurostar and my dear shinface for a nice little getaway.
Need to make money to buy comics. Even the library doesn't have all the comics I want to read, not nearly enough... 39 minutes ago
Mainstream developed the platform for indies and alternatives, and they really need each other to survive. 45 minutes ago
No matter how much the indies and alternatives frown upon mainstream, they would never have existed without mainstream. 46 minutes ago
Daniel Clowes coming to the ICA at some point. FUCK YEAH! 1 hour ago
I admit it. I hate facebook and I hate people's reliance on it for certain things. Hate is a strong word and I use it with all that strength 1 hour ago
